YEA!!! The holidays are over! Normal life has returned.
What a relief! The holidays are over, and life can return to NORMAL. The Christmas holiday is nice, but it just sucks the energy right out of me, and fills me right up with stress. So, NORMAL sounds really good NOW. Even if normal means shoveling the house out, and packing up all the decorations, and finding a place for all the new items that have LEAPT into my home.
My puppy is so tired, she is sawing logs across the room. Wow, she can really snore. ANYWAY, you can see that I am overwhelmed. I can’t even stay focused in my own blog post. ROFLMAO.
We all received wonderfull and usefull gifts for Christmas. This stuff now needs a place to be stored. (snort) I couldn’t store what I had. (snort) Word for the new year…. STORAGE and LOTS of it. If your gonna have a lot of crap, you should really have a place to STORE it. This would include shelving on the wall, bookcases, plastic bins, hooks on the ceiling ( the kids have really big kites that could be hung from the ceiling ) and of course LESS CRAP. What a losing battle.
So, I need to write out the to-do project list. Then, I need to write out the to-do chore list. I need a game plan! I need to start in one room and work my way out.
I need help. I need a magic wand. I need time to stand still. I need some ENERGY.

The journey to a new room!
We are stretching out in our little home. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and one living room and a connected dining room and kitchen. The garage is a single car garage. Never held a car though. LOL. It will now hold a school room and a very small section will hold hubbies tools. It will air conditioned too!
Here we are pulling stuff out of the garage.
Here it is before we pulled what we were keeping back into the garage. Just LOVE shoving piles around.
and LOOK, we got a WALL! A wall. Ignore all the junk that is piled up on itself, just look at that beautiful WALL.

clutter attack!
I have always collected stuff. I always had clutter. I always had lots of furniture. I had lots of stuff hanging on the walls. My mother would tell me I had too much stuff, too much junk. I took offense. She was always critizing me anyway. She died and I clean out her house and I had to laugh…. She had to much clutter and stuff and junk on the walls. HMMPHH! Then, I put my house up for sale and I had to clean it out so that buyers could see my home. I had too much stuff and junk!! I ended with a nearly empty home of 90% of what we owned and it has been GREAT! Slowly, though, stuff is creeping back in. The kids have their toys back, but not the proper storage. We have added more musical instruments, real and gaming control ones. I have added books and dogs.. hee hee. Clutter is getting a foot hold again!!!
We are fighting back! I cleaned out the china hutch. The drawers held all kinds of stuff for the kids. Crayons, paper, stencils, toys, puzzles.. GONE!~! We are remodeling our garage and building a school room out there. So, we started cleaning it out. Lots of stuff have gone off for garage sale and the dump! Felt so good and we aren’t done out there yet! I have ALOT of homeschool stuff to go through and part with. Tonight I started with the Christmas decorations. I don’t have the flat surface for some of the stuff I have. I started purging! If my immeadiate reaction wasn’t love, then it went off to the donation box! I flung over 30 items. It felt so good! Half my stuff won’t be out this year.. lack of places to put it. Maybe next year I will have room to place my loved decorations.
In retrospect, my Mom was right. I had to much stuff. So did she. Guess she knew what she was talking about. ROFLMAO. But, I will keep working at it. I will win this battle and keep my home more on the empty side. It is less stressfull to have less stuff. I had no idea!
